Fred is Amazon Creek's multi-instrumentalist extrordinaire! He can shred an Irish reel on flute or whistle, switch to a jazzy-sounding sax, mad klezmer clarinet, throw in some gypsy stylings, a bit of middle eastern oud....and he plays all these instruments and all these genres with due respect for their traditional roots, while still managing to rock a floor-full of dancers.

When he's not rehearsing or playing a gig, he writes tunes. Several will be featured on Amazon Creek's first CD, to be released, we hope, during the summer of 2005--see the "Tracks" link on our home page for some samples), and composes music for film and theater. And whenever he gets bored, it's really no problem: he just takes a few weeks and masters another instrument!

Here are a couple of MP-3's for you to download, featuring Fred playing snippets of our repertoire (other stuff too) on some of his many instruments.
