With more parents looking to keep their children away from digital devices and prise them away from their phone, Company Des Guides have the perfect solution for your family summer holiday. We can help keep your little, or big ones entertained on your family summer alpine holiday in Chamonix.

With camps available for children of all ages from 4 years to 17 years, they can experience some fantastic activities with professional qualified mountain experts, not to mention make some new friends of the same age. Not only will your children have a great time but they will learn new skills, build confidence and have many stories to share with their friends when they return back to school.

With endless fun for them on an alpine vacation, you will be able to sit back and relax or enjoy your own favourite alpine activities knowing they are being entertained. With a variety of activities from pony rides, treasure hunts and visits to the animal park, to water adventures such as rafting and canyoning. Rock climbing and Via Ferrata are a big hit. There really is something for everyone, both big kids, little ones, and Dad too!!

They can choose to take part in just a couple of days or go for a full five days of adventure. With three separate camps for age 4 to 7 years, 8 to 12 years and 13 to 17 years, no one will be left out!

Mini Wolf Camp – 4 to 7 years

The Cham Mini Wolf is designed especially for children from 4 to 7 years old to help them discover the mountains ! Every day, the Compagnie des Guides de Chamonix organizes, during summer and winter, different fun and educational activities. Our programs are specially adapted to the age of the children and are supervised by mountain professionals. Observing the flora and fauna during walks in the forest, either on foot or on ponies enables young children to become conscious of the need to protect nature. In summer, they will discover verticality with the climbing school and the Accro’Park at the Gaillands. In winter, the snow will hold no more secrets for them. By combining different outdoor activities, the Cham Mini wolf is the best way for your children to discover the mountain environment.

Walk in the forest to observe its discreet inhabitants and exit to the Gaillands acropark

We go on a mission in the mountains to find the photo traps and learn a little more about this mythical animal ...

Thursday : 1,2,3 climb

Cham' Kids – 8 to 12 year olds

The Compagnie des Guides de Chamonix offers,  a multi-activity program dedicated to kids from 8 to 12 years old. The Cham kid is the way to make your children live unforgettable adventures. Introduction to rafting by a descent of the Arve from the white water base of Chamonix. Discovery of verticality and rock through climbing and accro'park. First notions of first aid and orientation with our mountain guides. Awareness of the protection of the environment and mountain professions with cani-hiking activities, walking with donkeys and observation of fauna and flora. Thanks to the Kid stays including nights in a shelter, your children will also be able to embark on the great hike! The Tour du Mont Blanc or the crossing of the Massif des Cerces are perfect hikes to live a first adventure in the mountains.

Cham' Teens – 13 to 17 year olds

The Compagnie des Guides de Chamonix offers, a resolutely sporting multi-activity program dedicated to teenagers from 13 to 16 years old. The Cham ado is the best way for your teenagers to practice sports activities in the open air with our guides while learning the basics of mountain safety. Discovery of the world of glaciers, rescue in crevasse and use of mountaineering equipment: rope, crampons, ice axes. Mountain bike on the most beautiful single tracks of the Chamonix Valley. Canyoning in the torrent of Barberine in Vallorcine and in the Valle d'Aosta in Italy. Discovery of ice climbing during outings specially dedicated to teenagers. Our summer stay Chamonix Base Camp offers a multi-activity program with nights in refuge and tent: white water activities and hiking in the Aiguilles Rouges with ascent of Mont Buet.

SUMMER STAY - CHAMONIX BASE CAMP

Mont Blanc, Mer de Glace, Aiguilles Rouges... So many names that make you dream and contribute to the fame of the Chamonix valley for several centuries now! Cradle of mountaineering, the Chamonix environment still fascinates today and invites you to discover a grandiose nature.

This star stay for teenagers, from a base camp located in Vallorcine, offers a real immersion in the mountain environment. 6 days of varied activities such as classic hiking with its nights in refuge, climbing, canyoning and rafting. The perfect cocktail to share and live very good moments in the mountains!

Day 1: Multi-activities
From the offices of the Compagnie des Guides, we walk to the rafting base of the Compagnie des Guides Outdoor. We collect our suits as well as all the necessary equipment for the descent of the canyon of Barberine. After a good picnic, we will continue on a climbing session in Vallorcine, village in the Chamonix valley where we will set up our base camp. We dedicate the end of the afternoon to setting up the camp.

Day 2: Emosson Dam - Loriaz
Refuge We leave for the Loriaz Refuge (2,020m) for a two-day tour. The Emosson dam and the Loriaz mountain pastures are on the program. The trail is pleasant and climbs gradually, from the forest to the lawns and rhodoraies of altitude. The refuge is very charming, it is old alpine farms that have been restored and rehabilitated into a mountain refuge. The panorama of the Aiguille verte and the Mont-Blanc massif is exceptional.
Elevation gain: 850m - negative: 100m

Day 3: Col de la Terrasse - Val de Tré les eaux
A beautiful climb awaits us this morning. The Col de la Terrasse (2,648m), very wild, allows us to reach the high plateau of the summit of the Cheval Blanc. The panorama is grandiose, it is very likely that we will meet in passing the masters of the place, the ibex. We descend by the little frequented, Val de Tré-les-Eaux. We return to our camp after two beautiful days of mopping.
Elevation gain: 800m - negative: 1,300m

Day 4: Vallon de Bérard - Mont Buet
We start our second hiking circuit, Mont Buet is our goal for the next day. Today, our approach walk leads us to the refuge of the Stone in Bérard (1,924m). We take advantage of the afternoon to discover the beautiful and wild Vallon de Bérard and its nature reserve. Overnight in a shelter.
Elevation gain: 700m - negative: 300m

Day 5: Vallon de Bérard - Mont Buet
Walking towards our goal, the Buet (3,096m). Emblematic summit of the Giffre massif, the Buet dominates the Cirque des Fonds, and offers an exceptional view of the Mont-Blanc Massif, the Aiguilles Rouges and the Haut-Giffre. We find at the end of the day our camp in Vallorcine for a well-deserved rest.
Elevation gain: 1,100m - negative: 1,700m                                  

Day 6: Rafting
We raise the camp in the early morning and reach Chamonix for our afternoon rafting activity. End of the activity around 4:30 p.m.

This program can be modified at any time by the supervising professional depending on the weather conditions and / or the technical and physical level of the participants.
